I am a fifth year PhD student in philosophy at the University of Michigan, currently visiting New York University. I have previous degrees (BA and BPhil) from the University of Oxford.

My research is in moral psychology, cognitive science, and the philosophy of artificial intelligence. I use empirical research and computational models from cognitive neuroscience and machine learning to tackle philosophical questions about desire, motivation, and agency.
